We have tuned Chris from CT before so he was no stranger to 500whp out of his old ETS twinscroll 35R 1.06 kit. At the time there was an external wastegate gasket missing from one of the dual wastegates. This made it difficult to get a good reading on the true AFR as the leak at the manifold diluted and contaminated the correct readings. At the time we tuned via knock and by the shape of the dynosheet curve and its reactions to our changes in order to achieve his goals.

Chris's original plans were to get the gasket on the twinscroll kit fixed and bring it on in to recheck the tune but instead he got a wild hair and decided to sell the entire setup. In his own time he pieced together a Full-Race tubular coated single scroll T3 manifold with Tial 44mm external wastegate and added a PTE HP6262 billet turbo to the car. The car remains on the STOCK ECU.

Once we got the boost controller turned down, we baselined the car at 28-30psi with the existing twinscroll tune on it. Very low ignition timing. On the baseline run the car put out about 508whp without touching a thing. The TTP-Engineering methanol injection kit and Cosworth M2 MIVEC cams were still working great and despite the turbo's slower spoolup at 5300rpms full boost the power and torque came on hard.

Next pull we advanced the timing to smooth things out. The car responded with a nicer looking curve and 528whp. We asked the customer how far they wanted to push the car and established a whp goal and maximum boost level. We bumped boost to 32-33psi and achieved 548whp. Again we asked Chris if he would like to proceed further. He asked how hard it would be to hit 550whp. I pointed at the dyno screen and indicated we were at 548whp already :lol:. He responded with excited expletatives and gave the go ahead to proceed {thumbup}.

After a few 593-595whp pulls we settled our final pull at 35-36psi and put out a nasty 604whp and 504wtq even better than my own daily driver on stock motor!

We finished up with a final checkup on the street to insure all was safe and sound and we sent Chris on his way back to Tampa where he plans to terrorize Bradenton Motorsports Park in the near future.

How well does the stock motor hold up to that kind of power?

Very nice job. Did you guys change the rod bolts to add safety to this build? Your running stock ECU did you use SD on the tune?

Thanks Scott for a great tune and working with me for being late to your facility. Scott went out of his way to work past working hours to do my car and get it done as perfect as possible with no knock, I really appreciate that. Scott is a great guy and an awesome tuner TTP FTW.

stock rod bolts, im building the motor really soon just wanted to see how far i could push it as is, and stock ecu and MAF sensor still restricting air, next time im gonna do SD

and for RunRunRun its pritty much a gamble with the stock block one hiccup and the engine can blow up but Scott did a great job so im hoping the block lasts till i build the motor, i usually only take the car out on weekends and still dont beat on it ever unless i go to the track of course

It rips pretty damn good and the Competition clutch shifts well with a Delrin shift knob. Chris did a good job putting this car together.

These days I will recommend Ethanol over methanol injection because its always better to run the fueling through your injectors than a mechanical pump and nozzle, however unfortunately in Tampa there is really no where to obtain E85.

Scott did an awesome job the car pulls harder then my galant vr4 race car that went 10.4 in the 1/4 the pt6262 is a great turbo if you dont car about lag and i wish they had e85 over here then i wouldnt need to worry about running outa meth
