MAPerformance / First to break 800whp barrier on stock ECU!

Here is the video. MAP 800HP Stock ECU

Build Summary

The license plate on this Evo says it all, Evil AWD. We had two goals for this build and as far as I can tell we were successful in both regards. The first goal was to fulfill our customer's request which was to take his daily driver and make it into a monster that he could still drive on a daily basis. Thanks to Kasey's time and effort in regards to tuning combined with the proper components we have accomplished just that. Our second goal was to utilize this opportunity (we rarely see builds like this in Minnesota, even though they seem to be so prevalent in other parts of the country) and break some records. Drag racing in February just isn't possible here in Minnesota, so for now dyno numbers will have to suffice ;)

New Stock ECU Horsepower Record as of February 5th, 2010

As far as we can tell 814whp beats the previous stock ECU horsepower record by over 40whp! As you can see below we were also able to reach 806whp at just 38psi, which leads us to believe that there is room to grow :) Look for updates in the near future as we get to spend more and more time in our dyno room with this monster!

Fuel Injector Clinic BlueMax 2150cc Injectors

Fuel Injector Clinic BlueMax 2150cc Injectors

We just can't say enough about these fuel injectors as they have quite honestly changed the game in regards to power output and driveability. Clearly, they are able to support well over 800whp on E85. The part that you can't see from these dyno charts is the driveability. Here in Minnesota we frequently dip below zero degrees and rarely get above freezing in January / February. With that said, this car starts like a dream! Part throttle and cruise characteristics are similar to what was once only achievable with injectors smaller than 1000cc. Finally, you can have your cake and eat it too when it comes to fuel injectors for the Evo platform!

Special Thanks

We would like to take a moment and thank all of the stock ECU gurus for their time and effort, without their innovation and ambition none of this would be possible! We would also like to thank JestrTuning and JohnBradley for their collaboration efforts during this project!

Dyno Charts

Please note that we have included both STD and SAE correction to keep everyone happy ;) Yes it is cold outside up here in Minnesota, but our dyno room draws air from our 65 degree workshop. Either way, the correction factor takes temperature into consideration.

triple pumper {OMG}

Congrats on the great numbers!

Nice guys! Glad you got this beast finished up. Curious why you stuck with the k272's? There's bigger cams out there! Either way, massive power for a modified stock intake manifold and T3 turbo.

Beat out the 42r 1G at our fall dyno day there even!

More Pics Please!!

Why a GM MAS and MAF-T?

JohnBradley Feb 5, 2010 12:16 PM

Nice, glad to be of service :)

Gary@MellonRacing Feb 5, 2010 12:28 PM

congrats guys , thats some serious number this car is putting down

TalonFiero Feb 5, 2010 12:31 PM

Damn impressive gentleman.

Are you guys substituting a GM MAF for the stock MAF or are you using a MAFT?

phizzalot Feb 5, 2010 12:34 PM

Firstly Congrats MaP...
Is this setup a little laggy for daily driving or quick acceleration ?

evolution2186 Feb 5, 2010 12:34 PM

Spoke with Dan today about this monster. Always glad to continually see you guys push the limits. Keep it up!

ETS Michael Feb 5, 2010 12:36 PM

Not Bad! :) Great Job on the build!! Don't forget the ETS Exhaust System!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Hopefully this build will help change some perceptions in regards to what we're able to do for this community :)

This is an honest to goodness daily driver sir, we've put 700 miles or so on it at the customer's request and it handles Minnesota winter like a champ!

We chose to stick with what we know for now so there weren't any variables to prevent us from reaching these goals. However, speed density is definitely going to be a part of our repertoire in the future!

That really comes down to personal preference sir. I would personally be very happy making 400/400 @ 5000rpms on a daily basis :)

Any more pics of the engine bay? Looks like a top mount setup with everything coated black. Verry nice!

Owner has great taste, and congrats on the accomplishment / power output.

FathouseFab Feb 5, 2010 01:29 PM

Very nice man. Post more pics! That turbo looks big in there at that angle at least, is it a t3 and a s-cover?

Great job Chris and the rest of the MAP staff. I would love to hear about how the car performs on SD
