STM's Evo back on the dyno

So its been pretty warm out and I'm starting to get the itch! Last week was filled with a bunch of warm days and I decided to take the Evo out for a ride. Well one ride turned into driving it all week. I put 200 miles on it in two days! Not one issue with heat or any thing. I was A little scared at first because of the hard block but we had NO issues at all. So anyhow after driving the car I felt like it was down a little on power so I tossed it back on the dyno and did some pulls which turned into some testing and this is where it ended up.

686WHP and 584 TQ @40 psi

Great looking power curve! When you say hard blocked do you mean all water passages are filled? How could you get an accurate water temp if there is no water in the block?

Nice work emery, got an overlay of the last tune or power it was making?

erald01 Mar 21, 2010 12:08 PM

do you drive around with the chute on

EmeryatSTM Mar 21, 2010 12:22 PM

Thanks Guys!

To keep an Eye on the temps we monitor the oil instead of water in the motor and still use water in the head.

Yes we do drive around with the chute on.

Looks like a street car. People would never realize that the ricer would eat them, well unless they see the big turbo smiling in the bumper. Nice results
