The items in BOLD can be upgraded for more power potential at a later date.

Results:
317WHP/322WTQ (3rd gear pull)

The base pull was a street tune by another shop prior to us installing the cams. I was quite impressed with the power improvements of the S2's on a stock turbo with so many stock parts still in the mix.

Enjoy it AJ!

I was quite impressed as well. It has a cobb DP though. I assume you meant stock FMIC and piping ;)

I was incredibly impressed and extremely happy with how everything turned out. The numbers alone show what great work is done at Dynotech tuning. They will definitely be seeing more of my business in the near future :)

Fast_Freddie Apr 11, 2011 06:41 PM

Sorry Jaime...yes stock piping...

Nice! Another example of S2's not losing anything down low - I think that's pretty cool

Hey Ricardo, it was 23-24psi on the base pull that he originally came to us with, vs. 25 psi with the new tune.

Hi Jamie, congratulations again on the impressive results, and at only 1 - 2 psi more! Can you share about how much the fuel leaned out/had to be compensated in general to keep the AFR at safe level?

Iīll be doing this mod shortly and would greatly appreciate your input on how the S2īs affected the original fueling.

Thanks,

Ricardo

I can't give you a definitive answer because I basically started from scratch since the previous tune was not my own. We also added 900cc injectors at the same time we upgraded the cams. I will tell you that the fueling will be drastically different and will most certainly need a retune to be safe. Timing will need to be lowered a great deal as well.

i need to stop reading your threads since i live like 10 minutes from your shop now lol.

i cant be spending more money on my car!

nice numbers, do you know what a basic bolt on 23ish psi car makes on your dyno?

Great #'s on a Mustang! How do these cams compare to say some HKS 272's?

I will be honest, no two cars are alike so I hate this question lol. To give you an idea, this car is as basic as a simple bolt-on Evo IX gets with our base tune.

Upgrade to a Grimmspeed 3-port boost solenoid and I could probably get even more power up top since his AEM Truboost EBC can't hold boost as well.

These are more aggressive than the old HKS272's and flow a little more. They are both great cams but I would say that the GSC S2's may give slightly better results. Plus, the S2's sound sooo much nicer!

There is a sound clip here if you would like to see.
