tscomptuned: SD hta3076 results stock block/head

i wanted to share my experience with the evo community so here it is. i stumbled on some threads that tom remote tuned so i figured id give him a shot. im very glad i did. this is my 2nd evo and i have delt with a couple of tuners in the past that jerked me around before. this is definitely NOT the case with tom. he took his time with my car and had to make some drastic changes b/c my previous tuner configured my SD wrong. i am extremely happy how it turned out and would highly recommend him to anyone! its great how smooth the car feels now too. car pulls hard till redline and the response is really quick. what a blast to drive on the street.
now for the mods and graph:

Thats nice. I run a 3076r in my talon. I know you already have cams and didn't want to run any more boost then that, but if you put a good set of cams in there you would easily gain 30 more whp off that setup. Reguardless of what you decide to do in the future that definately is a fun car to drive with power like that. Congrats to both you and Tom for another great dyno thread.

How conservative is this tune? More or less, is low end power dialed back at all?

I am sure he isn't running the max amount of timing that he could be being he is on stock block if thats what your asking. I know Tom likes to keep max tq on a stock block around 400ish so I can't speak for the O.P. but I know in my car its very very low timing to keep tq down being I am on a stock block as well. I could run easily 8 or 9 more degrees of timing in my car, but tq is to high as it is and we are working on that to keep my motor from going boom.

yea down low is held back for safety with the high tq. thanks for the kind words. next year the cars gettin built so this is to hold me over till then lol

Oh you will definately be happy with the car. Congrats again.

nice work.

Did you consider running a twin scroll manifold and housing?
I'm surprised that very little people are doing it.

Boost threshold would move from 4500 to about 4000rpm

Tom is the man. Looks like that car is a lot of fun on the street, lots of area under the curve.

Can't get TS housing for a 3076r at least around here anyway.
I would be interested though.

downlow i could make it hit over 450tq or so.. we wanted to control the tq and keep it low, so i dialed it back. would go to about 520hp if i ran more boost in the car.. he doesn't want to run anymore then 31-32psi though.

heres a pull thats still low end, but i still made it even lower for safety since the customer requested that.

(different day, different weight in car, different mapping/afr)

as you can see it wanted to make tq.. i just forced it not to.. still 400tq across the board will get the car rolling out. :)

============

Thanks for sharing the results CJ!

your cars far from being done. it is running 93 pump gas timing uptop .. ;) CJ's isnt like yours uptop.

im very pleased with with the butt dyno results too.as far as twinscroll goes i wouldnt waste the money on it id put it elsewhere in the car bc of a 3076 not being too laggy. i went from a 3065 in my 9 to this so. i rather keep it on the safer side but still make solid power. and it yanks nice when it hits full boost
chris when u coming by to check her out

Great review-very similar to my situation. Got totally jerked around by an arrogant NorthEast tuner, had enough and found Tom. Car is now making more power, and doing it safer than ever before. Live and learn. Tom is a rare breed in this community when it comes to tuners.
