KTMOTORING TUNE - BBK FULL,27psi, E85, STOCK BLOCK - 430hp/380tq Dyno Dynamics
Upped the boost at KTMotoring in Chatsworth, Ca and here are the results. I couldn't be happier!!!
Big thanks to Phil (tuner)and Khiem (owner of KTMotoring)! They are both standup guys and very knowledgeable with Evo's. Very honest and straight to the point! I recommend them to anyone in the southern california area looking for a reputable shop whether it be maintenance, upgrades, and tuning. 2006 Electric Blue Evo IX SSL 51,000 miles Ported BBK Full Turbo FP 84mm Anti Surge Housing Ported OEM Exhaust Manifold Ported 02 housing Forge Wastegate actuator Kelford 272 cams + Retainers & valvesprings Headstuds 3 port boost solenoid RC 1000cc injectors Buschur Double Pumper COP Synapse BOV Nisei 3.7" intercooler ETS UICP ETS LICP MXP 3" Downpipe RRE Rally Cat (gutted testpipe) RRE Stealth Exhaust (2 resonators) Fp 4" intake pipe Original tune was E85 -25psi 401hp, 350tq Retune E85 - 27.5psi tapering to 24.5psi - 430hp, 381tq DYNO DYNAMICS. Your fine at that power level, just watch low rpm 4th and 5th gear pulls :) My bbk was at that power level on 93 oct for awhile and never had an issue. (Still on the stock motor, 5k miles and 100 more hp later)
Im sure the car is a blast..the bbk is still my favorite stock frame turbo! |
93 octane? holy chit! Is this mustang dyno?
Its more than i need for a daily driver... mostly rush hour Los Angeles traffic! |
Nice!

Looks Good.
Khiem & crew are great too  |
Bet thats a fun daily driver. Very similar to my final goal... Is it only tuned on E85? Id be curious to see a cali 91 tune.
|
Nice, very strong numbers on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. Time to build that bottom end!

Thanks for the write-up Ed!
This car was a breeze to tune! U can tell Ed takes great care of his evo! {thumbup} Definitely a fun azz street car! I dont recall what the pump #'s were. (Im not @ the shop) Ed... But if I remember correctly was ~ mid 300's, @ 25 psi. Shout out to CBRD for a great turbo! Tuned a few of these now, ALL w/ great results... {thumbup} |
91 octane was 340/318tq @25psi i believe.
|
This turbo is amazing it spools like a stock evo ix turbo! Very very fun street car
