Alex's 352whp stock cam IX

Alex, a Navy aviation electrician, recently recieved orders for Whidbey Island and moved out west with his wife. After having been stationed on the East coast and having his work done at IveyTune he needed a good west coast shop to bring the car to.

Without hesitation he found his way down to us for some general maintenance and a tune on 92 octane to replace the 93 octane tune in the car. Along the way it was decided to do an SD tune so I didnt get a chance to baseline the car on Sean's 93 tune (most likely would have been aggressive for our weak 92) but the first pull I made was less than stellar-

After doublechecking the doublechecking (i.e. ANOTHER boost leak check) on the dyno I decided to pull the car off and check the cam timing and cat to see why Alex car was down on power. Cam timing checked out so the next likely candidate was his catted exhaust (High flow, unknown brand). Sure enough the cat had broken down over time and plugged the exhaust. A little welding and back to the dyno-

Not bad for a STOCK lower intercooler pipe and intercooler. Alex is planning on a few more mods after he settles here in the PNW and gets his new AMR suspension on. It will be exciting to see this car grow and make more power to meet his goals.

Here is the overlay of pre cat and post cat runs to see the gain. Run a highflow cat? Remember that they are like anythind else on our cars and expendable so a check now and then is worthwhile. Never know, maybe there is 50whp being held up {thumbup}

good numbers, but in my opinion the tq seems a little low, i guess this could be because of the stock intercooler.these are decent numbers more the less.

is a HFC really much restriction over a TP? just wondering if it is worth it to ditch my HFC and get a TP.

Catless ftw

Cat is a restriction over a testpipe, something there vs nothing there...nothing is less restriction.

Torque is where I want it, You push too hard down low things happen.
