Evo 8 Stock block FP black - 402 HP 318 TQ - 29 psi - Buschur Tuned
1 Attachment(s)
After 4 years of owning my Evo, it has finally been tuned, and I honestly wish I would have done it sooner, even when it was on the stock 9 turbo.
93 octane Stock block Stock head with supertech valves, Kelford 272 cams and Kelford springs Walbro 255 FIC 1050cc injectors Water/Meth injection, not used for the tune JB FP black SS housing STM short route UICP and small battery ETS intercooler TurboXS HP boost controller Tial BOV and Wastegate STM downpipe for FP turbos Buschur Racing exhaust and compressor outlet Car feels great on the street, it might be a bit laggier than some would like, but I don't mind it and still think the car is a blast to drive, especially with the tephra no lift. Previous best at the track with the 9 turbo and a stock tune I modified to work with my car was 12.33@109. I'm fairly certain I will see 11s my first pass, and I'm hoping to be consistent mid 11s by the end of the summer. Next step is to save up for a Buschur block and go for more power. Original plan was for a 2.0 LR, but Dave might have me talked into a 2.3. Thanks to David Buschur for the solid tune, and the guys at Buschur Racing that I talked to before and after the tune. I will definitely be going back for another tune when the time comes. |
Looks fun
-edit- Curious how these numbers would translate to "virtual Dyno" |
I was curious of this myself, both on mustang and dynojet settings. I'm going to check that out this week. Not sure why my graph pic showed up sideways though..

He didn't specify, if I do go 2.3 it will probably just be the standard one. I don't expect to need more than 8500 rpm

Stock block, fp black, 400hp....What am I missing? Am I being punked? Wheres the power?
|
Nice ride and numbers. Interested in the new times you'll put down on the new setup.

Are you familiar with Buschurs Mustang dyno? I'm not trying to impress anyone with huge stock block numbers. I wanted a fun car with a turbo to grow on, and I have just that.
If their dyno is off more then that, they should fix their ****. They should be able to afford it since now all they do is GTR crap. |
What clutch are you using by the way?

Adding in an extra 12% shoots it up to around ~450 hp. Still low for a black with cams. They must have thrown more timing at it Im assuming. If you can put up with the lag, kudos to you.

Buschur has explained time and time again that it is setup exactly the way Mustang set it up to begin with, what difference does it make to you what numbers it puts out anyway? I've seen a local mustang dyno read higher than any dynojet. A dyno is a tool, plain and simple. It works as intended.

grats! im sure its fun. if buschur tuned it, then its fine.
