Stock Block Borg Warner S363sxe on C16 - mustang dyno results *video*

Got my Evo strapped down to a Mustang dyno last Friday night, and gave it a tune on some VP C16. On 93 octane the car made around 530whp consistently on virtual dyno Dyno jet estimates.

On c16 the car put down 516whp on the Mustang dyno at 35 pounds of boost. The shop owner said on a dynojet it should make 598whp in comparison to his dyno.

We could have gotten a bit more aggressive and made more power, but I didn't want to risk it being that I was going to the track with the car the next morning.

mods are:
Untouched 102k mile block other than balance shafts removed
hks 280 cams
borg warner s363sxe
Forward facing manifold
spoolinup non cdi cop
fic 1100s
255 walbro
Vrsf intercooler
custom piping
3" aluminum exhaust
Etc

The different between mustang and dynojet is approx 10%. Not 15%+

I'm no expert on the matter, I don't own a dyno, but from what I am told it is dependent on how the dyno is loaded and can be anywhere between 10-15% difference. He said his tends to be more towards a 15% diference.

Good Numbers buddy.

Did your fuel pump maxed out ?

If you have to run race fuel, why not get C85?

I'd imagine the 1100cc injectors have a lot to do with it. ;)

In all my observations Mustang reads exactly 15% less then dynojet.
That is properly default calibrated heartbreaking Mustang.

I am happy to have two near me, that have consistently read exactly so, 15% less.
However cannot speak with certainty about the Mustang in question: owners advice sounds sound to me based on my Mustang experiences.

AMS, the only shop that has both dyno under the same roof, has said repeatedly, that the difference is 8-10%.

Also, every time I've see a car dyno on a mustang then dyno on a dynojet, it usually about 10% difference.

Injectors are easily changed.. {thumbup}

evostanman Nov 13, 2017 09:16 AM

Its 15% difference with my tuner

Like some stated above my injectors are the reasoning behind sticking with c16 over ethanol or even something like q16.
I'm right around 80% idc's with the fuel setup currently. The modded walbro 255 seems to be working well, I'm actually very surprised it has gotten me to this power level on a mustang dyno in all honesty.
As far as the particular dyno in question stock GTR's make in the 420-430whp range on it according to the shop owner?

For what its worth, Two seasons ago when my car was on the stock VIII turbo on e85 it made 345whp on this same dyno.
Last year with an old school Precision 6262 on pump gas it made 458whp on this dyno.
Ive gained another 58whp over that with the 63mm BW on race fuel with no other changes other than the Spoolinup cop.
