Help with expected power results

2 Attachment(s)
I'm currently on my break-in tune and I am wanting to get some opinions/estimates on how much i could make so i can make some final decisions. And also the gain of an intake manifold with my supporting mods(because i currently have stock intake man and TB.) My tuner said with my current setup it should be over 500. He isn't getting on it in the video and reached 7000 rpm and 360AWHP, 277TQ. Tuned by DBW. Thanks!

mods:
HKS TB Exhaust
SD 4" intake
AMS Fuel rail
1000cc injectors
fuel pump 255 walboro
GT35R turbo kit w/ ams manifold
3.5” wide tank ETS FMIC
eagle rods
ross pistons(.030) bored 8:8:1
272/278 hks cams
BC springs and retainers
BC 1mm oversized valves
Acl bearings
Ported head
Shepard trans 5-speed
MBC
act clutch

Non MIVEC head?

What fuel? (depending on your fuel, injectors are a bit on the small side)

Flyhigh Mar 17, 2019 03:47 PM

oh **** my bad I totally forgot. 93 pump gas and MIVEC head. I am leaning towards pump for now but i know in the future i want to run E-85.

There are much better tuner guys than me, for sure (watching the F1 race & thought i'd chime in)
You know, already, that these 1000cc's will not work for E85?

On 93, depending on boost level, i would imagine this will get you into the high 400's (DynoJet no.s)

I will post up the dyno video when i get the final tune so you'll know. Yea I know the inj. will not work with E-85, i just bought these a while back so I want to keep this build for now. I plan on getting IM, E-85 kit later. Probably around 2000cc injectors.

400... i agree.

Yup. mid to high 400's with a solid tune on 93.

I am about to be tuned on E85 and have 1000CC and have never seen that they won't work, why is that ?

Depending on the application, it may not be enough flow. Remember, you need 30% more ethonal to make the same power compared to pump gas.

With 1000cc injectors and 255 pump, you can get into 400 whp range but you will max them out on E85.

Are those the revised HKS cams? It's already been said, but bigger injectors will be needed for E85 and moving to some GSC S3 cams to help flow all the air that turbo is pushing.

Flyhigh Mar 23, 2019 12:35 AM

Thanks I don't know what the revised cams are but all i know is i bought theses cams around 2011 so they really outdated. I hear a lot about the GSC cams and when i decided to go E-85 im going to purchase the S2's and Magnus V5.

Great numbers! That's a lot less torque than HP comparatively speaking, but must be a blast to drive nonetheless

Just realized this is on pump gas. Nice!
