Alpine removes HU display colors?

I bought the Alpine CDA-9857 HU from best buy, and the dude there in the audio section told me the unit changes colors. Right now its that nasty green and has bright blue buttons, anyone know if you can change the green color to red or how to take apart a deck to change the lights. I think ill return it if I cant get the right color change. Pain in the as that would not make the interior lighting all one color......would love to punch the guy that over looked that.

no the guy at bestbuy was wrong. you may be able to change the lights in the buttons because the UK version has red/orange buttons or just switch to the UK Hu face plate. the display will always be the greyish/green/blue colors.

Track down a cda-9855 like I did. You can still find new models if you search.
