Is this the MR-stock 3 gauge panel? My (06) lights up in a white-blue in color already - matches the other center panel lights.

GS - remind me about this in a few weeks and I'll try to find out what they are. We have people going to Dubai and Abu Dhabi and may be able to send some over.

Send me a PM.

You have better luck painting them red. But they are T1.5 Instrument LED bulb. The same one in your guage cluster.

Kevindanger: my A/C console lights up in cool white (see photo attached previously).. and during the day, the background of both clusters (triple gauges & A/C) have the same color..
US-spec Evos have different A/C setup.. do you think the lights differ too?

srv2790: a photo would help mate!

The gauges in my stock 06 MR are definately lit with blue-ish white lights - very close to the rest of the center area illumination. Not sure if they are filtered or what...

Well.. being an ex-Audi driver i'm not used to having multi-colour dashboards.. (Amber for the mains, white for the A/C console & yellow for the triple meter kit)

apparently changing these leds is a real pain, so i guess i'm dropping the idea..

thanks for your replies everyone

No way... The bulbs in the triple gauge cluster are really easy to get to. Just take off your din cover then 2 screws for the gauge cluster. There is most likely some covers over the bulbs, just take them off, and you will have white gauges.

You can also get white gauge insert for the mains. Check ebay maybe. I have seen them on these boards also.

GS: Seeking Abu Dhabi (UAE) Evo contacts

GS: I'm planning a move to A.D. with my Evo and Q7 later this month. Have a ton of questions but some basic ones regarding inspections / emission requirements... if you get this post, kindly send me a pm or email rfaruqi1@yahoo.com. Send me your contact phone and email so I we can chat. I've also owned 2 other Audis in the past and there is lots to talk about.

thanks!
Rahul
