The Laser detection is basically worthless. The short range of accuracy for Laser combined with the speed of light makes the warning too late. I wouldn;t spend the money on laser detection, I would get a laser jammer if your state even has laser guns...

AFAIK it's not legal to have one but when did that stop anyone from doing it HAHA.

Not sure where to get one and even if they work worth a darned. KA is the standard being used most places as of now, at least here in California anyhow.

I think Escort that makes a "Diffuser" that is legal because it doesnt activly jam the laser gun. I dont know if its sold anymore but Car Toys used to carry them.

Laser jamming is legal. Laser is a wave of light and light is not governed by the FCC so it is not subject to the same rules that apply to radar. K40 makes a laser jammer that gaurantees you won't get a ticket or they pay it.

Only if the officer citing you for the ticket writes on the ticket that you were using the radar detector...(how many officers do that?)

Go to youtube and search for Laser Interceptor. I have one installed on my car and it is probably the best laser jammer available. It jams every speed detecting laser gun known to man.

Also, at distances over 1000 ft. It can take up anywhere from 1 to 4 seconds to get a lock on a vehicle with these guns. Contrary to popular belief, they are not instaneous and do not always acquire an instant lock.
They can also be very inacurate. Please ask me how I know.

http://www.laser-interceptor.com/

The US distributors phone number is listed on the site. Contact him.

You should also invest in a good radar/laser detector. V1, Escort, or Beltronics. And remember to drive smart. The easy and cheap way to avoid tickets is to NOT SPEED!!!

Unfortunately, the 3 guns that are used by the state police in my area, CT and MA, will eat the passport unit alive. So if you live in MA or CT, better choose something else. That is not speculation, it is a FACT.
