No communication with tool on OBD2.

No communication with tool on OBD2.
Help needed!
My car is a EVO7 JDM.
I have lost communication on serial bus. No Ecu´s are available through OBD2.
This happened after disconnecting the battery while my laptop still was connected to OBD connector.
Could I have damaged some diagnostic gateway?
Car runs fine though.
