I really don't like the relocation of climate controller, it doesn't look OEM at all, it's best just upgrade to JDM climate control, I know it's more complicated but looks way better.

if you have a dremel YOU can do it.

If you mess up you can always buy a new vessel.

I'm defiantlly going to experiment with this. I've been trying to find a way to make space for my Tanabe TEAS and Apexi Turbo Timer along with a switch panel. I think I can use the double din with a faceplate, mount the gauges at the top, switches in the middle, and my TEAS controller on the bottom.

I have been researching the climate relocation for some time now: Seems to be 3 options:

1. Galant Climate Control: requires rewiring, and loss of Max AC
2. Orbital Relocation: Expensive, and hard/impossible to find now.
3. This option: Pardon my opinion, but its kind of a hacked look.

However, I think you are on the right track. The only thing I don't like is that the indicators are clearly too large for the DIN slot, and the edges are rough. This gives me an idea though:

1. Use the stock climate control (keep max ac/stock wiring)
2. Use the radio relocation Kit, and Modify the brackets as shown.
3. Create a new faceplate, perhaps laser cut from aluminum, ABS, or CF?
4. Could someone design smaller diameter indicators using a vinal cut machine? Overlay it on the new faceplate?

Any thoughts?

its great idea , but majority of us dont know people who can do this or what not. the the original threadstarters idea was the best i think true it looks a lil shabby but not that bad.

Thank you for presenting this option for us. I really like your idea of using the stock control unit. You gave me the idea of making a new faceplate to finish this off.
