Need Help with Tach Install

Hey Guys,

I recently bought a tach for my Evo IX and cannot seem to get it to work properly. I wired it up to pin# 45 (the green wire with white stripe) but it doesnt register any RPMs...

I have a HKS V Pro... Does this have anything to do with it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bump for any suggestions? I've read somewhere (can't remember where exactly) that u can try connecting the guage to a signal wire on a coil pack. Has anyone tried this & what wire should I use?

hey man. sorry that nobody has helped you out. everyone that i have talked to says its pin 58? idk though. i have a shift light i need to install and haven't done so yet. seems like nobody wants to help because they think that tachs and shift lights are pointless.
