is there an easy way to get to the back of the stereo without taking it out?

I just bought my 2006 Evo IX and am very happy with it. It came with a Alpine head unit in it with just stock speakers, errrr! I am wanting to run my amp wires and was just wondering if their is an easy way to get to the back of their? I don't want to mess anything up by trying to pull it out since I don't have the key to the deck to pull it out, unless anybody know an easy way to do this. I do have audio expierence just not to informed about this car yet, but that will change as time goes by. Hopefully their is an easy way to access the rear of the deck, such as through the glove compartment area, but if not please let me know how i should go about this.

thanks!

You won't need any keys to get the headunit out if it was installed properly. Like said above, it really would be easier to pull the radio (literally takes like 5 minutes) than to try to fumble around behind it.

But, if it's installed in the lower cubby, you can reach your hand between the console and lower part of the dash and get to it. You won't be able to see anything, but you can feel around.

take the four screws out and pull. this is after you remove the hvac cover. if u dont know how to do that pull the ac knobs off, take two screws out. then pull grey hvac cover off. the rest is self explanatory.

thanks guys, i kind of figured that it might just pull out, but i didn't want to just start tugging on it and have the chance to break something you know? so i when i need to add my wires i will just give it a pull and hopefully she just comes right out.
