FYI, I have a couple similar Pioneer DEh-p6200bt units for sale. Only $135 shipped, for a little more I can make it plug and play. Check it out, I have a for sale thread on here.

I meant are you using the stock amp to power all the speakers, or the one in the radio?

Looking into this HU my self. I have the SSL as well. Could you be a bit more specific about the connector? Is this something extra out side of the wiring harness crutchfeild sells with the unit? Sorry for the noob question.

If you get it from Crutchfeild and enter the right setup (I think its 7 speaker) they give you the connectors. The only connector I got was the one off ebay to power my iphone (cable 433iv).

The Alpine doesn't do audio streaming over BT, correct?

No, but I'm not a 100% sure, I haven't figured a way to do it.

Says it depends on the device you're trying to stream from..

I have a BlackBerry Torch, and would like to stream pandora, or MP3s on the phone, which is why I asked.

bringing this thread back. For those of you who have this specific head unit, do you need to buy a microphone in order to speak through the device? Does the evo 9 come with a microphone? I'm referring to those 3 slits on the left side of the head unit.

I feel like its a long shot getting some answers to my questions but its worth a shot. At least the part about whether or not evo 9s come with a microphone from the factory. Did mitsubishi make those slits so we can put a mic behind it?
thanks in advance!

Evo 8's and 9's did not have a factory bluetooth option. Almost all aftermarket radios require a mic to be installed, typically clipped on the head liner or on top of the steering column.

When I bought this head unit it came with a mic, put it on top the steering column. Sometimes I get complaints the caller can't hear me well.
