ok just decided to just solder the wire together. everything works now.

 

Which connectors (i.e., what plug?) solved your issue? I have a similar problem and I see no visible corrosion, but it would be good to know what wires are the ones to trace.

 

it is the connector under the kick panel that you remove. it's the c-129 connector. right above the black connector. it should be pin 22 which is next to the brown wire i think it was blue yellow. i'll make sure later. that was corroded and the pin it self was shorting out.

Mine wasn't corroded, but I'm going to put a multimeter on it and see if it's getting power, otherwise I guess I'll pull my radio out and look back there.
