Question Evo 9 MR HID spotting problem

I bought a new pair of Evo 9 MR Hid headlight housing from the dealer. After switched out my evo 9 GSR non-hid and installed the EVo 9 MR HID Headligghts, I notice when the headlights are on they have some spotting as you can see in the picture. IS this normal for all Evo with HIDS from the factory?

Also i have adjusted the headlight myself but looking at the picture below, do i need more adjustment?

Right lamp is too high. The cutoffs should be the same height on both lights

I'm not sure. Light output isn't going to be perfectly "flat" all the way across the beam because of the bulb

I would check to make sure the bulbs are properly seated in the sockets. this will make a huge difference if they aren't

HID's are good, but the evo ones aren't that great. i would say that's probably normal if it's how it looks in the pictures. if it's a lot worse in person then it's not normal

the projectors are new from dealer. the bulbs are new osram 66240 cbi from theretrofitsource. the sockets are fitted evenly (i mean it only has one way to go to fit the bulb) and outside it looks like in the picture

I would say that's normal then. I know mine spot a little but honestly I never notice it because it's just not something you look for when driving. A lot of it has to do with actual projector design and how the lens is and all that technical jargon. I'd enjoy the increased light output and be happy with it

would the right be too high? or is it the left being too LOW? dont u think i need to raise up the left? cuz the right side measure 3 feet high (which should be set just below the side view mirror of the car in front according to theretrofitsource)

Ideally you'd measure the height of the projectors off the ground and set the cutoff line @ 50 feet to that same height or a few inches higher

Just looking at the picture, the drivers side looks like a better height to not blind others but still give you plenty of vision

I looked at my lights a few nights ago, they definitely do the same spotting as yours. It's unnoticeable when actually driving though

I do recall someone doing a bunch of work on their projectors because the stock HID projection wasn't as good as some other cars he compared them to. It's probably normal.

Nowhere; projectors are designed to put as much light on the ground and not blind the oncoming traffic at the same time. Logic just tell me that if you don't want to blind people, light shouldn't travel above the source of the light

That's spotting is normal. And lower the right headlight which makes the spotting worse. I just put nightbreakers on my MR. they are wickedly bright.
