Anyone have feedback on the linked double din kit? Seems low on price, but does it work? Decent fit?

 

I bought two of these today while on special. Get the one with sticker kit for 3$ more. People say they are good

 

Bought one, we'll see how it fits. I'll post pics and a little review once received.

I just got an EVO and this is the first thing i want to do. Please post reviews to see if i go ahead with this eBay kit.

 

The ebay kits fits really nice on my buddies Evo 9.

I went ahead and order the Metra double din kit today for $39 shipped from this place.

Metra kit seems very affordable, I'm just not a fan of the flat black upper piece. Not a big deal if you're going to vinyl wrap or paint though I suppose

 

Just bought one of those myself!

 

I was told it still 2 weeks out from the stereo supplier. I may call Metra to confirm. I dig the Metra kit more since it comes with stereo brackets and I like the textured black look better than the bright silver trim on the ebay kit. The actual JDM silver trim is a darker gun metallic silver but a can of paint would fix it.

Looks like ebay has the metra kit so I may cancel my order with the store above and buy it on ebay.

yea i got the same message. A little bit misleading since the website stated they have the kits in stock.

I paid $250 for it few weeks ago -_-

 

So kit installed now, and it looks just like the pics br3akrboi posted above. Kit is great for the price, can't beat it. You have to bend or grind some metal brackets to move your HVAC controls to the lower cubby, but that would be true for any kit you get. All in all I'm happy, I'll post my setup pics soon.
