evo8 stock steering wheel extension

Just finished installing my steering wheel extension in my 2004 evo 8. I searched for a long time hoping someone would come up with a way to move the stock steering wheel closer, I am 6'2", and need the seat all the way back to make room for my legs, but never liked how far away the wheel was. I drive 99% of the time on the street and did not want to go aftermarket due to removing the air bag. So I designed my own extension which moves the wheel 2.5" closer. Let me know what you think. I have attached a couple of before and after photos.

Yeah, I used a spray on bed liner to match the texture and color of the interior. Best part is that it will last forever.

Bit of a knee bumper driver myself. Any chance of getting some tech info, and or, a build up of materials/steps? Looks good either way.

It is a combination of off the shelf Borgeson items that I custom machined and welded as well as some other items sourced locally in my hometown. You could attempt to make one yourself like I did, but plan on about 40+ hours of measuring and fabrication to complete it. Give me a couple of days and I will post some pics. Once you see them you can PM me any questions.

Finally took some detailed photos showing how I move the stock steering wheel closer while keeping the air bag and horn functional.
