Hey guys First Thread here! And yes I did Google and I didn't find a solution, So my ECU gave up on me on my Evo 4 so I got my self a Evo 6 ECU but there are a few issues that I have run into. Yes it was Direct plug in and started right up so the issues are-

1. The Radiator Fan turns on as soon as I put the key to Ignition (when engine is cold) I tried the ecu in my friends Evo 4 and the same thing happened why is that and how do I turn it off so it only comes on when its needed.

2. I'm getting a CEL (engine light is on ) when I plugged the scanner it says Diagnosing O2 Sensor Heater Circuit error shows up how do I get tid of this because I did clear it and it comes back.

3. I heard that the alternator won't charge since a wire has to be snipped I will check this tomorrow and see if its charging if it isn't what should I snip ?

This is my ECU So I bought this ECU from a friend's friend and they said it was from a 6 Now to find out I typed in the part number and google shows it as an Evo 7 ECU Bloody hell :wallbang:

 

I don't mean to dissuade you, but EvoM is not the best place to ask this question, since it's a US-centric site and there are very, very few Evo 4-6s there. You won't find many people with experience in this and you could wait a long time for an answer. For anything Evo 4-7, I would suggest you visit the Lancer Register forum, they handle stuff like this routinely.
