Can't decide ... PCE216 vs. Infinity 60.7cs vs. Polk DB6500/MMC6500
I seriously can not decide what setup to go with. I've had the JBL P650c's in my STI and liked them alot, although they were pretty bright (but I dont know what my crossover's were set at). I'ld like ot try something different this time around in my EVO.
Crutchfield has a solid deal on the Polk DB6500's with buy a set and get another half off which puts me at around 229 (with the $20 referral discount) for a set of DB6500 and DB650's. Which is highly appealing. The Infinity's are dirt cheap new on ebay and the MB Quart's I've always heard good things about but never had an opp to try them myself. Has anyone had any personal feedback from these speakers I've listed that may help me narrow my choice? |
Go to a local dealer and listen to them.
JBL and Infinity are the same company and all of them use a reputation from another market to sell abunch of crap. Get what you think sounds the best, your going to spend a few hundred hours listening to them. |
id go with polk good sound and they can take a beating
I have Polk Momo all around (rear MMC650, front MMC6500) and the sound quality is awesome. I have them wired to a 125x4 watts RMS (4 ohms) MB Quart amp, clean and loud sound, crisp highs (not too bright), deep/precise bass. My other option was MB Quart, but I read too many reviews mentioning how bright they were so I dropped the idea.
So the Polk MOMO's MMC6500 fit?
As any other 6.5" speaker, they fit with an adapter.
Do these adapters come with the speakers?
Crutchfield provides adapters when you buy speakers. The Polk Momo speakers come with their own adapters as well, but not made for the Evo.
