Evo V won't start after timing belt and CPS change
 

So my evo died during driving. Found out my balancer belt was cut and destroyed the crankshaft position sensor. I changed the timing belt at the same time but now my car doesn't start. My battery was gone empty because car stood in garage for a month waiting for a motivation to fix it.
Yesterday i tried to start the car after belt, CPS change and loading battery, but it doesn't start. Keeps cranking, gets spark and fuel but nothing happens. There is no generator belt installed atm though so might it prevent starting?.

I didn't get spark at all before changing crankshaft position sensor, now there comes spark after installing a new one.

No Alternator belt?

Nope. Wanted to give a test start before installing it.

Ok. I would check sensors (Crank and Cams), then timing again and make sure cams are timed correctly. If they are all good I would do a leak-down test. Hope the timing belt didn't jump.

You may have missed to plug in something, like coils, or injectors, or TDC/Cam Sensor.
There is no problem, its a simple omission

I am sure its electrical-sensor related...

Checked all wirings, there was one engine grounding loosened, but tightening didn't help.
Could my ignition be 180 degrees off, because it's backfiring occassionally to my valve cover breathing pipe when trying to start? Wondering how it is possible though because i've checked timing marks many times. I'll try today with a new camshaft position sensor and hope for the best.

check coils/leads/connectors are on the right cyls ,simple one i know but it has been done

Ok i double checked my valves, lifters and all.. Found out my intake valves are broken. Lifter/cam backslash is about 4mm (valves doesn't come whole way up). I could take lifters away with my fingers.. Didn't notice it before because there was so much oil on lifters. There was few lifters stuck between cam and valve so it felt like everything is ok when I rotated the engine by hand. Looks like my timing had jumped a whole way around from crankshaft, that's why it looked like timing had jumped only 1 tooth when I checked everything before changing timing belt. :crap:

Sorry man. It's what I suspected too. It's so easy to ding/bend the valves on these engines just a tooth or 2 off.
