EVO 4-6 OEM LHD Auto Climate Control Parts?

Hi Everybody,

I know it's a long shot, but I am looking for OEM LHD auto climate control setup for an EVO 4-6.

I have been contacting some Rally companies in Europe without much success. Though one source is able to order some brand new, but it would cost $16,000!

If anyone has any sources that may have them or may know someone that would have access to this LHD setup, that would be great.

Thanks,

Ian

Don't do it, it is a huge headache. A number of people that have done 4/5/6 Evo conversions to their USDM Mirages have tried to convert over to the Auto Climate Controls and it is a nightmare.

Just stick with stock manual climate controls, or if you want to get fancy have a shop make you a HVAC relocation setup.

Save your money and time for performance or reliability mods.

If you are set on doing it, contact BRR, I have ordered a bunch of parts from them and if it exists, they can find it http://www.brr.at/

Realistically, you could buy an Evo 4 front clip and remove the whole system for less than the price of the Control parts new.

I see. I talked to Martin at BRR and he said that the parts would take months (he has been the only one to have it and it was the $16000 one). Unless that was a typo, and he meant $1600, I wouldn't mind waiting to get it done down the line.

As silly as it seems, one of the factors in me going LHD or RHD will be the ability to get automatic climate control.

Leaning towards RHD at the moment, as I am looking to import a front clip to do the project.

Thanks for the advice,

Ian

I suspect he meant $1600. BRR's pricing has always been very good for me.

Honestly, unless you are dead set on doing the Evo/Mirage conversion, you are better off just buying a USDM 8/9.

I see. I'll double check with him.

I'm looking to have Adam Sera do the project for me, and it would be cheaper for him to do LHD rather than RHD.

I know it makes more financial sense to just get an EVO 8/9. But I'm committed to owning my dream car since I was a kid (had EVO 3-6 photos all over my walls back in middle school). I also don't want to wait until 2025 to try to import an EVO VI.

Turns out that it wasn't a typo: it actually will cost $16000 in parts for a factory LHD auto climate control setup.

Thats crazy. if you really want auto climate control, looks like you need to go RHD with the conversion.

I did the full auto climate conversion for about $300. Its really very easy to do. Check out my build thead for details or if you'd like I can post all the info on it here.
