EVO 8 no voltage on pin 12 & 25 connector
Hi guys,
I have autronic SM4 installed in EVO 8. Voltage reading in Autronic software is 6V (when trying to crack voltage drops to 3.5 V). I have disconnected Autronic connector and I have checked voltages on all wirings I am writing down the measurements that I got: Pin 12 reference to chassis -> 0 Voltage (either ignition on or off) Pin 25 reference to chassis -> 0 Voltage (either ignition on or off) It had to be 12.5 Volts because these pins are connected with a big red cable to my 12 volt supply input (pin 15) in SM4 On pin 80 reference to chassis -> 12.5 Voltage (either ignition on or off) https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg Any ideas of what can cause this problem? Problem started after reseting the Autronic's previous cal file I have checked relays in the front hood and they seem to be ok. I run out of ideas Thank you in advance Any advice or idea would be really helpful |
Pin 12 and 25 are supplyed by the engine control relay.
Does it pull when the ignition is switched on? It is activated by the ECU so if this is disconnected it will not pull. |
Hi mate, thank you for the advice. I think I have found the problem. I connected pin 15 from SM4 Autronic directly to +12 battery and chassis to the 29 pin on Autronic. I got 11 volt in Autronic software which means that there is a problem which cause the voltage drop. I have plugged in all the connectors but I didnt use the pin 22 on autronic (Sensor GND). I also got 11 volts in Autronic software. When I plug in back the black cable to the 22 pin, everything is messed up (voltage drops at 6V.Also in R500 CDI input as well I get 6 V instead of 12 V if pin 22 is plugged in the ECU connector). Any ideas on what can cause this problem? I have to find this but I struggle to find the problem |
