Evo 8 Headlight adjusting help
 

I purchased IX MR headlight housings for my 03 Evo8 and I am having trouble trying to get them to adjust to the right height and center. I've read alot of threads pertaining to my issue but havent quite found the answer I am looking for. With the low beams on both beams seem to point to the left as shown. Ive adjusted and adjusted and adjusted and only seem to raise and lower the beams. With the beams raised to reveal more of the road the left side of the beam raises as well blinding passer-byers. However, I havent been on the road with them raised up, as i do not want to blind motorist. I Mainly keep the beams pointed at the ground but then i can barely see the road. Im thinking, maybe, since i dont have the cable hooked up, since the housing didnt come with it, that maybe the car cant auto adjust it? If thats the case im just going to order some cables for the headlights. I feel like there is a simple resolution to my issue. Did you buy headlight housings from a JDM or other RHD car? In countries that drive on the right(like the US) headlights are typically pointed a bit to the right as to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. In RHD countries(like Japan) they are pointed the other way since they drive on the other side of the road.

You can do some minor adjustment with the screws that mount the headlights in place, but this seems to me like you bought JDM headlights for a USDM car.

You know, I didnt even think about that when buying them. They are JDM that i ordered from STM. I noticed A piece inside the housing thats causing to beam to point in the direction it is. Looks like im going to have to open up the housing. Weekend project :D Thanks for the reply

Best of luck, I didn't know you could repoint them although that makes perfect sense! Some pics when you dig into them would be awesome , especially for others running the JDM lights in the US.
