Stock BOV that bad?
Stock BOV that bad?
OK, I've read a lot of anecdotal evidence on here that suggests that
a) the stock BOV leaks
b) the hoses are loose causing a leak
c) it's plastic so it must be bad
d) all of the above
What's the real story with the stock Evo VIII BOV? Is it really THAT bad?

Mine holds 20 psi fine. I just tightened all the clamps which were very loose. All the IC pipe clamps were loose also. Holds solid now. I didn't want to deal with adjustment issues that aftermarket BOVs have and don't care about the sound either.

I would attribute the leak due to the BOV's construction. Perhaps plastic BOVs are constructed w/ looser tolerances and surface flatnesses, therefore don't seal as well.
