Angry need a new clutch

My clutch just went per my dealer. I am of course fighting to get them to replace it (less than 12,000 miles/owned 15 months). Two questions: anyone have any luck getting Mitsubishi to cover it, and if I have to replace it on my own what good clutches are out there? (OEM is obviously about as good as dog ****). This is pretty much a daily driver.

I can't imagine mitsu doing anything for you on a clutch.
There have been members on here that had less than 2k miles and they were told "so sorry".

As for replacements, the favorite for price/preformance for a daily driver is ACT. Way cheaper than OEM.
As you are in the Chi-town area, contact AMS for install prices. Also cheaper than the stealerships.

The dealer will not cover your clutch with 15 months / 1200 miles of use , sorry. As for a replacement I would look at RRE they make a great clutch for the EVO and it won’t void your warranty as it looks exactly like the stock unit. It also costs a little bit less then ACT and has a slightly higher clamping force. Check it out at http://www.roadraceengineering.com/evo.htm
