This is driving me nuts!! looking for help

Ok I'm so fed up with this problem that i'm throwing myself at the mercy of the EVOm boards.

I have a Profec-B II in the car and I cannot tune the friggin thing so it runs right. I either end up blowing off a hose or I hit fuel cut. I cannot get the damn thing to boost to a reasonable level and I don't want to wait until I get my upgrades in 2 weeks. It is making the drive to work a complete pain.

gain is at 21
set is 40
set gain is 14.5
warning is at 20
warning drop is 10%

I shouldn't be boosting over 19 from what I figure. Any help anyone has out there would be great.

did you tap the right line? one to the right of the dipstick? Chinto had a fuel cut problem, he couldnt boost over 15 or 17psi...it wad due to tapping the incorrect hose.

Since I was dealing with boost with the EBC I had a shop do the install for me. They deal most with supras and I would have to hope they know what their doing. I'll check the line at lunch and see whats up. From what I remember though the lines were tapped correct.

Worst comes to Worst i'll just be forced to retune the thing......again.

I would try lowering the gain and playing with the set until you find the right boost level. I have my gain set at 6% right now. My set value is at 53% for 20 psi. What are you actually boosting to? Do you have a boost gauge installed? More info on what's happening with your boost levels would be helpful... spiking, not going above 12 psi...
It ended up taking me 2 days to figure out a good setting for mine, followed by a lot of small tweaks in the following weeks. Now mine holds 20 psi solid to 7k. Good luck.
