I found a nice deserted straightaway so I did some runs to work on shifting. Well my car pulled pretty good in first gear but my gauge said I was only running 15 psi so I turned the boost up. When the car hit full boost it shot up to 21.5 psi and jerked forward violently. Normally this is ok with 93 octane but this is not Texas so i'm on 91. So did I detonate? thanks for the replies. O yea the car drove normally on the way to my dorm.

 

Sounds kinda like fuel cut the way you described it. Usually on 93 octane I would hit fuel cut at 22.5 or so. So with 91 it sounds like that.

did you hear marbles rumbling around the engine? IF not, then it probably didn't detonate. Probably fuel cut as stated previously.

 

No I didn't but then again I wasn't trying to listen for it and my limiter on my BC was going off too

You probably had timing pulled by the ecu after it detected knock. I doubt you did any damage if she is still driving fine.

 

no cel and I also had the ecu flashed for 93 octane, maybe I should have mentioned that earlier
