Cams with stock cat...emissions.

Hello. Will 264/264 cams affect my state emissions inspection even with my stock catalytic converter? Thanks.

It will affect the emissions but to what extent it hard to tell. I ran some high duration cams on my other cars and the emissions did go up but not enought to go over the states limit. Also don't tell them of course that you have cams.

You can pass emissions easily, the tests are pathetic. I know a guy who passed with 272s, it's all in the tuning and their weak requirements. The california tests are hard, but the other 49 states are a joke. Although more agressive camshafts will effect your emissions, but if you keep the stock catayltic convertor it's not a big deal with just 264s. I'm actually switching back to my stock catayltic convertor because these high-flow catalytic convertors don't work worth a ****.
