Oil Leak

Unhappy Oil Leak

I have a small oil leak around the drain plug. i checked it and its tight. has this happended to anyone else. what did you do

did you change the ring at your last oil change. i am pretty sure you have to change the washer on the plug every oil change or it will leak, very little though

Yeah, you have to put a new crush washer on at every oil change. This sounds exactly like what the problem is.

It's part number MD050317 and they are about $1.00 each from the dealership.

can you get them from an autozone or advanced auto, ect , ect

If you buy factory oil fiters from the dealer, they usually give you a washer too. Just in case, did you check to see if you threaded the plug properly?

I'm sure you might be able to. I just bought 10 of them from the local dealership so that I didn't have to go back and forth there every time I need to change my oil.
