As long as you seal the adjustment screw that comes out of the top of the BOV, the Type-S can hold over 30 psi. When I had mine off my car a while back, I tested it with a MityVac pump w/gauge and it started leaking at only 10 psi. But once I put some sealant on the threads of the adjustment screw, I went over 30 psi, and the BOV held fine.

Greddy rated it under 350 whp i have to double check, but i think its 350 =) the Type R is over 350
