Mitsu gauge is in kg/cm^3 for boost and cm/hg for vacuum. Use www.onlineconversion.com pressure section to convert to bar or psi boost/vac gauges

there is no such thing as negative psi. at idling speed an engine at sea level should show a steady vacuum reading between 17" and 21" HG. A quick opening and closing of the throttle should cause vacuum to drop below 5" then rebound to 21" or more.

1 in HG = 2.54 cm HG

I have a mechanical Defi gauge and it reads around 25" HG when at idle. I just put it in two days ago and was going to ask this very same question. Is this correct????
