new gasket for installation of exhaust

is new gasket really needed when you install a new exhaust system ?
couldnt you just re-use the stock gasket ?

Most aftermarket exhausts come with a new gasket. I usually throw the old one out and put the new one in. It's not absolutely necessary unless the exhaust piping is bigger than stock, but it's probably a good idea to replace it while you have a chance to.

I used both origional and new during my exhause install. For some reason HKS didn't supply enough to replace all. But, so far, no leaks and all is good!

did you buy the pre-made/fit gasket or did you make your own?

I reused the stocker after the cat and I used new HKS ones before the cat and between the two piece cat-back.

When I'm stuck, I use Permatex Ultra-Copper gasket maker. This stuff is great, just follow the directions

That price also includes free ground shipping. Just letting you know. I don't know how much your place costs.
