Call 1-440-839-1900

Ask for David directly. He built my 2.0L and it has ZERO piston slap (and it's 25 degrees out). He's built more 4G63s than anyone and he's got shortblocks and everything instock.

Don't rush into this....

I would do a lot of homework before rushing into this. There are a lot of options to choose from as well as builders.

I would call David at Buschur, AMS, TT & RNR before choosing as they all have different opinions about what is best. I would also call Magnus Motorsports in Canada, as they have a lot of experience with DSMs as well.

I am investigating this for myself and I am still doing my homework

A stroker engine is basically an increased displacement engine.. its called a stroker because the stroke of the crank (movement from top to bottom) is increased.

In some cases you can also increase displacement somewhat by increasing bore size (not by much on this engine though)

But a stroker got its name for the first reason.

I may end up selling my spare Evo shortblock that I was going to use for the stroker setup.. I found an alternative setup that I may have done for me.

Just for references, it's not as if David or AMS or Turbotrix forges there own pistons. Your paying them to assemble your engine. David has a clean room and works directly with a machine shop. I have heard some "professional tuners" engines that advertise on this board that sound like Diesel trucks with all the piston slap.
