I am going to buy Cam Gears for my car. I would like to know is there a difference if I buy AEM Cam Gears, VIshnu Cam Gears or HKS Cam Gears or are others better suited for the Evo. I am also will be running 264/264 cams. Thanks for your opinions in advance

 

aem just came out w/ their 4 way adj ones...idk how good they are but i've had aem on my integra and never had a problem with them...they are good ...hks is good too i'd say about even about both

 

I like the way the aem units look. They have large hardware @ 5/16 vs 1/4. Some might think its an over-kill, I like the idea myself. I have a red set of aem gears for sale, brand new $250 for the pair, shipped to 48 states.

The choices you have are all very nice pieces, you cant go wrong with either. The hks pieces only have 3 bolts per sprocket vs 5 on the other 2 brands.

 

I like the fidanza cam gears.

 

With AEM cam gears is there a difference between colors they come in (red, silver, etc.)???

 

As I'm planning on getting gears very soon, what exactly do you need to look for?
Weight, # of bolts, markings? Anything else? I'm figuring between unorthodox (lightest??), fidanza (great price), or hks(only 3 bolts).

 

I just weighed my aem's & they weigh 381.5 grams a piece. I dont know how much anyother cam gear weighs.

 

I'll weigh my Unorthodox sometime.

 

i'm going to buy HKS because i'm also getting HKS cams... i had AEM cam gears on my prelude and they worked great!

anyone know what the best settings are for 264i/272e on the gears?
