So people know what downpipe is better

3" is better than anything smaller across the entire power range. Doesn't do much at low RPMs on a stock turbo but Buschur has done the testing for everyone to read on another post. I just see so many people with this question and so many different responses. Buschur has done the testing and 3" is the better.

You would be surprised on how many people think 2.5 or 2.65 or whatever the hell is better... dont ask me why. I assume the same reason some people think fat chicks are hot?

It should go without saying that 3" is better, as you will get better exhaust flow. I'm sporting the Apexi 3" downpipe with a Perrin Cat-Delete. They adapt to eachother perfectly. This is also a good downpipe because it easily adapts with several different Turbo Housing Outlets. The Apexi will allow you to keep your options open for future exhaust upgrades.

What do you mean by "better"?? Better to me might not be better to you I like drivability and torque all around...not pockets of mighty acceleration

Is there a dyno chart comparing the two? I don't think there's a big enough difference to notice.

Fat chicks with big ***** ! BTW I had a 2.5" downpipe with a 3" exhaust on my Talon Tsi with a 16G turbo. It had decent low end torque and ran 12.60 @ 110 MPH. I later swapped in a 3" downpipe and you know what, I didn't run any quicker. Same ET's and MPH. I tuned a little and played with shift points and still no difference. I did notice that I lost the low end torque that I had with the 2.5", but the boost hit harder with the 3". This is not to say that a 3" downpipe will not outperform a 2.5" if your car is really modifed.

Hey I like skinny chicks with big *****... Mines 5'7" 125lbs. She likes skinny chicks too

Seriously... back on topic... you'd be best served with one like the Helix. It uses the OE O2 gasket, and has no restrictions like the Megan flex section I'm running. I'm not saying my Megan is bad, just that common sense would say the "flex sectionless" should flow better.

I'd personally use the lightest weight highest flowing exhaust on my EVO and do.

Not everyone feels that a 76mm dp is optimal. Works for one, says that with the stock turbo, a 70mm dp is actually optimal; a little more torque in the low end and same power throughout the rest of the powerband. they say that the 76mm dp is better for turbo upgrades etc.
