My Evo 7 turbo model number
Was checking the numbers/letters on my turbo tonight, it's a TD05-HR, so this means it's an inconel turbo, and not titanium.
If you other E.I. evo customers can check it as well and post back, that'll be awesome. Just take a flashlight, point it vertically on the right of the manifold heat shield, down on the right side of the turbo. At the proper light angle, you will be able to distinguish some letters and nbrs. The 2nd line is the turbo model. Look to see if they start with TD05-HR or TD05-HRA. If you have an "A", that means your turbo is titanium.
Would love to know !

Looking at the old EVO 7 pdf, only the RS models and the TME VI came with the titanium turbo. The GSR and likely the RS-II all came without it.

I have heard the titanium turbo is not that much more responsive than the inconel one. One can hardly tell the difference. That's what I have been told, at least.
But wait until I get and fit the GEMS ecu and a lil' anti-lag, we'll talk about being responsive then

WRCforever,
I was talking to Erik at the SCCA event, and asked about the Motec. He said that it either wasn't good or wasn't a good application for the evo (can't remember which). I have a couple of questions...
What makes the GEMS unit better?
and how much does it cost?
Thanks
