Anyone else getting the 5k limiter from a dead stop intermittently? I have an MR and sometimes its there and sometimes it isint.

well considering I don't own one, and honestly I think they are a waste of money.... I've never looked into it... however, now that you say something, I realize that I jupmed the gun and was thinking more about intercooler piping than I was MRs

 

Yes, I have an 05 RS, and originally I thought that it didn't have the limiter, but now every once in a while it is there. I am thinking that you can fool it by blipping the throttle quickly as it approaches 5000 rpm. I will double check that when I have the car out again, but I am pretty sure that if you just plant your right foot it will limit it.

Glad i got a 04 without the launch control...but yup all 05's have it

The launch control is great and will be the sh*t once Al figures out how to raise the limiter to 5,500-6,000rpms. Right now at 5,000rpms my car builds .5 bar or about 7psi sitting still. And it's real easy to unhook it if you don't want to use it.

I think youc an fool it one way. I think if your sitting at a light and you rev it in neutral, then while the rpm's are coming down put it in 1st gear, then you have shot at revving it past 5k. I think thats how it works
