Engine Management HW

i'm trying to start learning more about the different EMS systems out there; just wanted to know if anyone here has experience with the Electromotive TEC3 or the HKS FCON V-Pro..

reliability, idle, cold starting, knock sensing, etc is of the highest importance. can anyone point me in the right direction?

FWIW, the knock anticipation algorithm employed factory ECU is far more sophisticated than anything else mentioned here. Anything that retains the ECU retains this capability.

Would installing and engine management system (thinking UTEC) solve the P0300 problems lots of us are having? Thinking it'll override somehow...

Anything that loses OBDII will almost certainly nullify the P0300 situation.
