odd, no boost taper, car is stock

Well, not completely stock. I have an 05, and recently installed a full turboback exhaust with stock cat. (greddy titanium with silencer) I've got the ralliart gauge package so it's kind of hard to look at the boost gauge down on the console while going WOT, but I'm noticing the gauge pegs to 1.5 bar and pretty much stays up there without the usual tapering down to 15psi or so that I've read about. I've only had the car a month, and haven't touched anything else - factory boost control, factory airbox, yada yada yada. Besides replacing every single factory IC hose clamp with some high quality ones, that's it.

I'm kind of concerned that the car might be running too much boost than is healthy. Factory boost cut on the boost control solenoid and associative timing pull from knock sensor SHOULD save the day, right? RIGHT??? (geez i hope so)

Any clues? - Thanks in advance

you just saved your money on a manual boost controller. lol j/k so anyway you should be doing good, you got that blessed evo. What octane do u use? i use 93oct and mine peaks at 21 and tappers to 20psi. Our cars run rich as hell so it shouldnt be a problem.
