I have a quick question about a driveline issue I’m trying to diagnose.
I’m trying to narrow it down to what piece it is and was looking for some insight.
That way I can purchase the right part the first time.
I have no issues or whining noise when driving in a straight line
When I make a sharp turn I get some nasty binding in the front and get a loud bang when it frees up.
I got it up on a lift and turned one of the front wheels and hits one point and then binds up.
When that happens the other wheel stops turning in the opposite direction and starts turning in the same direction as the wheel I’m turning.
It will pop and start turning in the opposite direction like it supposed to.
I have and issue with the rear diff binding also when making a tight circle at low speed. The inside tire will slip. So I know I have a slight problem there but not as bad as up front.
I’m learning the hard way that wheel hop is bad.

Something in the front differential would be a darn good guess.

Yep I e-mailed TRE and Jon said I broke the spider gears. Time to upgrade to the LSD.

 

Aww man , that sucks, Check out my post. Just posted today also about some sorta drivline issue.
