Well from what I have heard the Greddy Ti is pretty loud, not sure if its true or not, that right there migth cause it to get more attention. It all depends on the cops mood. We have had exhausts on all our cars for years and just recently I got a ticket for modified exhaust. Its just a bunch of BS. I owuld say get what you really want and dont worry about it, most of the times cops wont mess with you. I mean who isnt running an exhaust on their cars/truck nowadays.

A CARB sticker will save you in court, but you might still get pulled over.
I don't have a geddy now, but a cop can pull you over for "a modified exhaust." From there he can claim "reason suspision," look for other things to see if your legal, and won't care about a sticker for the exhaust. Once something noticable like that is on, you open the door for him to check other things, so be careful.
I ran a greddy p.e. exhaust and a test pipe on my Eclipse for a couple of years and never got pulled over specifically for it. When I did it was always for speeding, no front plate, etc., luckily they never checked the car. Use common sense and try not to draw attention to yourself. Let them pick on someone else.

The legal limit for the catback exhaust is 95db. If you think the exhaust is at the legal limit, then attempt to fight the ticket by taking the exhaust to a state referee. They can check the db level and basically write off the ticket if it is at the legal limit.

I have had the Greddy Ti here in not so sunny SoCal for only a few hundred miles and I love it. My only nits, all of which I can live with is, 1) the exhaust is longer than stock, but I wish that it were about an inch or so longer. You can't really see the burnt tip. Like I said it ain't a big deal just a little nit.

Now to answer your question it is LOUD. Don't get me wrong I love the sound but it is loud. some guys what there stuff as loud as possible and I'm not one of them but it does sound good to me. the fix is easy, cus it comes with a silencer, which definately lowers sound level, although you will pay a penalty in performance.

It is really loud. I compared mine with my friends side by side. I have the HKS carbon Ti. THe Greddy is noticealby louder, plus your body vibrates when you stand next to it. Also, in the car its hard to communicate due your words geting drowned out. In my opinion, if you hate droning on the highway, dont get it. ANd it is for sure not legal as it doesn't pass the dB level. I think RRE had an install article about it and they tested the sound level. The HKS doesnt come with CARB sticker, but they have documentation, which helped me in my written declaration. Check out socalevo.net for more regional exposure.

What you Cali people need to do is band together and stop electing smelly hipies to office that hate cars.
