BR UIC + Greddy Type S BOV

I have the Buschur Racing Upper Intercooler pipe and I was wondering if the Greddy Type S will bolt right up to this. What hardware do I need? Thanks guys.

What BOV do you have now and why do you want to change?

If he has a Buschur UICP then he probably has a 1G BOV. No, it's not a direct bolt up, you will need an adaptor flange for a 1G or a new flange welded on the pipe.

Don't get an adapter, just take the pipe off and mark the new type s bolt pattern using the gasket. Drill, tap and your ready to go. I offset the type s holes about 20 degrees to there was plenty of material around the holes for hte gasket to seal.

Yes, that works, but if he decides to go back to the 1G valve he can have leaking issues, which is why I suggested the adaptor.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. i am currently running the Forge BOV, but i am getting slight compressor surge in fifth gear at partial throttle. I really wanted to find anonther BOV that will bolt right up besides the 1G.

Does anyone know where to buy this adapter plate for a greddy BOV?

Also will the stock JDM MR valve bolt up to what i have now?

The JDM MR valve doesn't "bolt up" to anything, a hose clamps on each side just like the stock valve. The MR valve can be disassembled from the looks of the pictures, but it seems to have an obscure 3 bolt flange if my memory serves me correctly.

Not if you offset it, there is PLENTY of flange left to seal with the stock 1g valve. I have switched back and forth about 10 times so far and have yet to have either one leak! Have you had any experience with the 1g and the type s on the same flange?

And on a side note my car was consistantly almost 1 tenth quicker with the Type S then a stock and a crushed 1G.

I've never had a 1G valve, but a good buddy of mine (s DSM guy) has and he had leaking issues when putting a 1G valve on a 1G flange that was modded to accept a Greddy valve. However I don't think he offset the mounting holes.
