Exclamation service engine soon light issue

waddup yall. sorry if someone already asked this question before, but i couldn't find any thread in regards to this subject.

i have a 2003 gsr. got an intake, downpipe, fmic, radiator, catback, but no new mods added recently. have about 28,100 miles on it. today, all of a sudden getting back into the car after dinner, the "service engine light" stays on. it stayed on the whole drive home.

any ideas on what could be causing this? thanks in advance.

Many, many things can cause that light to come on. You need to have the code pulled.

I believe you can get it pulled at Autozone or another similar auto parts store.

I got a code this weekend too. It was a 02 sensor malfunction failure code. Coming from the catdelete. I used to have the code at first when i put the catdelete but never got it. Saturday i stopped at a gas station, filled up and after that i got a code and reset it like 5 times and would come back on. I drove home for a while and then reset it and the code finally went away. I think my 02 sensor wires are going bad.

so i went to autozone today and borrowed their obd tool.

4 error codes

p0136
o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

p0141
o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

p0136 (with a weird "pd" looking symbol on the end of this display line on the tool)
o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

p0141 (with a weird "pd" looking symbol on the end of this display line on the tool)
o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

anybody have any thoughts on this? thanks.

sounds like a shot o2 sensor to me, but that's just a guess.

I would suggest making a new thread on it and seeing if you can get some better answers. Good luck!

the ones with a pd beside it are just codes that it threw twice. So basically you threw two codes. and I would say check your O2 sensor behind the cat and make sure that it is screwed in properly.
