Bad idea! At idle, your intake system is under vacuum. If you have a leak and you spray water over the leak, the water will get sucked into the engine!

You really need to build an intake leak tester, then use an air compressor to pressurize the intake system. You'll be able to hear major leaks audibly. Once you narrow down the leak to a certain area, then spray soapy water over that area to pinpoint the exact location of the leak.

DOn't quote me on this but it should be okay. I've clean my intake with water and use it without issues. Also if you have a tear it's going to get wet when it rains anyway.

yes, i found that it is a 2" inlet.
I just got done doing a pressure check and found that the plug off the intake nipple flew off and is leaking (the smaller nipple on the injen intake pipe).

I also found that air was leaking from the drain of my oil catch can. Could this have been my boost leak?
