Defi Oil Pres Gauge Install HELP!!!

Defi Oil Pres Gauge Install HELP!!!

hi guys finally today i got around to installing my Defi D oil Pres gauge and i used the 42Draft Designs fitting and everything fit Really Really well and i have all my connections correct and double and triple checked and when i fire up the car the gauge does nothing!? it lights up and everything but thier is no pressure range.... checked for leaks and everything is good....


i have it installed like in the how to section on the Hex bolt area removed it and placed it thier etc....


Please any help would be great!

Make sure you connected the oil pressure line to the control unit. Then connect the control unit to the gauge. I know this may seem stupid, but it is something I overlooked which turned out to be the problem. I had the sensor connected directly to the gauge. Yeah, I'm a dumbass

its a D series so their is no control unit anything else?

Umm, I don't know then. Are there any valves on the 42Draft Design fitting that may be closed or anything?

I dunno what to tell you bro.. Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe someone else will see this thread. The car starts though right? So there is oil pressure, the gauge just doesn't read it?

yeah the car is perfect i have drove it like 100 miles now..... ANYONE?


im thinking faulty gauge?

if all the connection and wiring is good....the only thing i can think of is you have a bad press. sender unit.

does the pointer move at all? if not check the constant pwr & ignition wires again, the gauge should tick even if the sensor is not plugged in

really? hrmmmm i have mine just sliced into the light area same as the boost maybe thats the problem where should i splice for power
?

i tapped both the ignition & power wire to my radios constant pwr wire(or the clocks wire if u can find it), there's a tech article on evoM's homepage that show you the clock wires

The sending unit has to be grounded on my sender, that may be your problem.
